01Credibility Is Judged at a Glance

Buyers form a judgment about whether a business appears credible within a fraction of a second, and that judgment changes very little with additional time.

A substantial share of perceived trust is attributable to visual presentation alone, which means credibility is something a business can build deliberately. The visual identity, the language, and the evidence behind them can each be selected, tested, and improved like any other part of the business.

02Consistency Compounds

Memory works in the business’s favor. A strong image seen once can be recognized months later, and a look maintained across every point of contact converts that recognition into a habit. Companies that hold a single look acquire a slightly larger share of the category’s memory each year.

A single look, maintained for years, becomes an asset.

Ease of processing operates in the same way. The simpler a message is to read, the more readily it is believed.

03Select One Look and Maintain It

None of this requires a rebrand. It requires one look chosen deliberately, applied everywhere a buyer encounters the business, and language simple enough to be believed. The research supporting this page is on the research page.

When that is in place, the market begins to do part of the selling. Buyers arrive already familiar with the business and partly decided, and each dollar spent reaching them is more effective because the name is recognized.

The return on getting this right is substantial. Buyers who arrive already familiar with a firm are far more likely to shortlist it, invite it to bid, and pay more for its work, and most of what they currently read fails to earn that trust.

A business that publishes material buyers keep, and holds one look long enough to be recognized, is competing in a field that is largely uncontested.

An overview of how engagements are structured and priced is on the engagements page. The first step is a conversation, which can be arranged through the contact page.

Engagement Structures

This practice area can be engaged as a diagnostic, a single implementation, a full build, or under continued support after delivery. Each is scoped in writing and priced before work begins. The four structures, the factors that determine price, and typical cost ranges are set out on the engagements page.
